Sole, Eric

Eric Sole was born in France. His early projects were focused on technical research of the principles of transformation, folding chairs, office lamps, or the use of materials for exploiting their structural properties; as in the rollmob for Megalit.

Eric Sole is principally interested in lighting design, and the evolution of existing raw materials. More than new materials, existing materials offer permanent sources of a multitude of shapes, sizes and techniques. It is this unusual approach that allows Eric Sole to imagine his designs. Everything is new and there is still much to discover, this is what inspires Eric Sole. A beautiful lamp should be like a living object, changing when illuminated. It should talk to us, enlighten us and bring comfort when it's dark!
